Pi-Touch Institute has published, 'Article 119 of the Constitution’.
“The issue of economic democratization has been discussed fervently since the 2012 presidential election. However, there hasn’t been any change in the economic circumstances. I believe that the solution to the Korean economy is embedded in Article 119 that defines economic democratization in the Constitution.”
President Kim, Seung Il of Pi-Touch Institute emphasized that 'Constitution is not justa legal documentation but should be applied to real life’ at the book publishing conference of his book titled , “Article 119 of the Constitution - Fair Competition Saves the Economy” (published by K and S Books) held at Four Seasons Hotel in Jongro District on the 30th.
In this book, which he has co-authored with Director La, Jung Joo of Pi-Touch Institute and Park Heon-Seo, Chairman of the Board of Korea Information & Communication Company, Director Kim interpreted Article 119 of the Constitution with a focus on 'fair competition’, and has proposed solutions for low growth and deepening gap in income distribution, which are the problems faced by the Korean economy.
Article 119 of the Constitution is consisted of two parts: Paragraph 1 reads, 'The order of the Republic of Korea shall be based on respect for the freedom and creative initiative of enterprises and individuals in economic affairs’, and Paragraph 2 reads, 'The state may regulate and coordinate economic affairs in order to maintain a balanced growth and stability of the national economy, to ensure proper distribution of income, to prevent domination of the market and abuse of economic power and to democratize the national economy through harmony among the economic agents.'
